Ngare Ndare is an indigenous forest in Kenya with an expanding canopy cover. It is also a home to some of the ancient African Olive and Red Cedar trees some as old as 200 years and hundreds of different bird species. Also, the river in this forest forms a pool like swim area whose color resembles that of a real swimming pool though natural. The forest also boasts of one of the largest and safest canopy walks in East Africa as well as serving as a corridor between Mt. Kenya National Park and Lewa Wildlife conservancy. The forest is 4 hours out of Nairobi and  just 40min out of Nanyuki making it a good location for a weekend away from the capital city..
