You will be picked up by our team at the airport and driven for 3 hours to a campsite in Mt. Kenya Forest arriving for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast you will be driven to Ol Pejeta conservancy for a full day game drive but with a stop over at the equator. The conservancy is full of wildlife including the big five.After game drive, you return back to camp for dinner, shower and overnight.
Day trip to Mt.Kenya National Park starting early in the morning. You get a chance to experience the real Mt.Kenya – highest mountain in Kenya. The vehicle will drop you at the park gate and you will trek with our professional guide to a altitude of 3,300 Metres above sea level.From here you can have a very clear view of the Mountain if the weather is clear.
Drive to Samburu National Reserve after breakfast. The reserve is one of the best in Kenya where you are assured of meeting many species of birds and wildlife with ease and fun. You will then be driven to Meru National Park for an overnight. Dinner and overnight at a camp site in Meru.
You will start with an early game drive in the park. Meru national park is located east of Meru, 350 km from Nairobi. It has a wide range of wild animals including the African bush elephant, lion, African leopard, cheetah, eastern black rhinoceros, southern white rhinoceros, Grévy’s zebra, hippopotamus and a wide range species of birds. You will also be able to visit the Adamson’s Falls and the burial sites of Joy Adamson and Elsa the Lioness in the park before doing another round of evening game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Meru National Park.
Early morning breakfast and game drive. Start the journey to Embu forest. You will also be given some minutes to do your own shopping arriving at Embu forest camp before lunch and be driven for tour to a tea plantation. After lunch, you will visit ndunda fall in njukiri forest and a coffee plantation as well. The Embu people are mostly farmers but very friendly and welcoming. You will also get an historical lecture of Abantu Community- (people living around Mt. Kenya) an evening traditional dance and a taste of local tradition cuisine. Dinner and overnight at Embu Forest camp
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mwea National Reserve. On the way, you pass the seven folks hydro-electric power plants commonly known in Kenya as the seven folks.
Electric power being consumed in Kenya is generated from these dams. Common wildlife found in Mwea National Reserve are, giraffes, Grant’s zebras, buffalos, African leopards, common duikers, black-backed jackals, bushbucks, waterbucks, Sykes’ monkeys, warthogs, rock hyraxes, bush pigs, impalas and hartebeests. Striped ground squirrels, baboons, African Elephants, Lesser Kudus, Nile Crocodiles among others.
Commonly known as The Mara, the park is among the biggest parks in Kenya located in Narok County. It is world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards,cheetahs and elephant, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson’s gazelle and other antelope, to and from the Serengeti every year known as the Great Migration.
You will arrive in the evening for an evening game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 & 10:
After breakfast you will be taken for full game drives for both days to maximize your chance to closely view all animals.
After a short early game drive, you will be driven back to Nairobi to catch up back your flight after a very successful 11 days camping safari with the Shinning Hearts Kenya
